Architraves are complete fixed door frames that house the doors in coldroom applications. Architraves are heated to prevent condensation and normally come complete with lighting to enhance the appearance of the product in the chiller/freezer.

Architrave frames are designed to be the frames that cold room doors are fitted to. Architrave frames can hold up to a maximum of 5 doors within the one frame which must be connected to a power supply used to heat the frame and power the lights supplied. Architraves are used in many different conditions and as such must be designed to operate in those conditions.

An example is where the frame is used on a bottle cooler, with an inside temperature of +3C and an external ambient of +20C, here we use a normal temperature frame with standard normal temperature unheated doors. Where the doors are used on a freezer , the inside temperature can be as low as -25C , with an ambient of +20C the difference is 45C. Here we a low temperature application with extra heating in the frame, and heated doors. The many different conditions that the architrave operates in dictates the specifications designed into the unit by our engineers.

LED lighting is standard on all reach-in units.

The coldroom panel must have an apperture so that the architrave can fit neatly into the opening.

Standard sizes for doors are 1895 x 760mm and 1935 x 800mm

Non standard sizes are avalable on request.
